Hollie exhibited the mission, vision, and values of our Cox family.
At our 10:30 rehab class, Hollie was checking on one of the elderly patients that we have seen for several years. He stated to her he had not slept well. As she inquired further he had some issues with his leg wounds. Hollie sprang to action! She first called his primary care physician and then accompanied him to the ED. She stayed with him through his entire ED experience advocating for this patient and helping him to set up HHC with wound care services. She called his daughter who lives out of state to explain to her the process. Social services expedited the patient’s referrals to HHC. Hollie exhibited the mission, vision, and values of our Cox family. She showed this patient that someone does care. Her reassurance and presence in staying with the patient and being his advocate helped him feel more comfortable and safer.
