My 93-year-old dad was in with double pneumonia for 12 days and nights. My dad has hated hospitals his entire life, so my siblings and I made sure a daughter stayed with him every night. (Likely not the easiest situation for nurses- lol) Some of the nights Holly was there on the night shift. I have no complaints about any of the nurses - nurses are angels. But Holly, who was there at least 3 or 4 nights, went so, so, far above! She explained things thoroughly to Dad but in a way that said she knew he was extremely intelligent. She is super knowledgeable. She was so attentive and caring. I felt she cared. Even at his advanced age and severe illness, I felt she sincerely wanted him to get well- she did not see a lost cause. My sister independently mentioned to me how she stood out as well.

My dad recently passed, however, I am so grateful that she was my dad’s nurse! I still say prayers at night, asking God to greatly bless nurse Holly. If Holly was able to treat our family this way- she must be this way for all patients! (I know my dad and us daughters can be a handful- to put it mildly). I don’t even think she realized how awesome she was to us as that is just normal for her. Her care, attentiveness, and expertise meant so much to us. If I ever need hospitalization- I pray I would get someone even half as good as Holly. God bless you, Holly- I truly believe there is a special place in heaven for you.

Thank you, Holly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
