Holly Maxwell joined the SLEH team in September of 2008 as an ICU RN in the weekend work program. During her time in the ICU, Holly as increased her critical care skills and has gone on to obtain her certification in critical care. Holly is always willing to step in and take on the most challenging of critical care patients. She has also taken on leadership roles, serving as a team leader and STEMI RN. In addition, she frequently takes the time to help welcome and orient new hires to the department.

Holly was nominated for this award by a daughter of a patient she cared for in the ICU.
An excerpt from the nomination:

"Holly cared for my mother in the ICU. She was very attentive. She stayed right by my mom the whole time she was on the ventilator. She talked to her and told her everything she was doing and why. She also explained everything to us. When my 14 year old asked questions, she answered in a way she would understand. Holly is a healer in every way. She eased our minds and our hearts while helping our mother, wife, and grandmother recover. Holly will always be in our thoughts. We will never forget her. She set the bar very high for each nurse that comes in here. Saint Luke's is very lucky to have her."

Thank you Holly for all of you do for both our patients and the staff at Saint Luke's East Hospital. We are so proud you are a member of the team!
