In my time on ICC, I have been blown away by the amazing hearts this team is made of. This team genuinely cares about its patients. They take the time to get to know their patients. They learn who they are, they learn who their families are, and they take time to talk and ask questions. This team learns about their patients' backgrounds, hopes, wishes, dreams, and so much more! I have seen this team give special care to patients by having spa days, including hair and nails. They have thrown birthday parties, complete with decorations and treats. Most recently, a mock wedding was thrown so a terminal patient could see their daughter get married. In talking with their patient and family, staff learned the patient was supposed to travel to their daughter's wedding that weekend. Because of the patient’s inevitable outcome, the wedding was postponed. This staff decided to patient deserved to see her daughter get married, so in just a few hours, an awesome celebration was created complete with decorations! That patient cried happy tears! The heart and compassion this team have is so incredible! The patients on ICC are truly lucky to have you all as their caregivers!
