Isabel Kendrick, RN

The patient’s wife always stays with her husband. She currently works at Chick-fil-A. On this day, she didn't work her whole shift because her husband wasn't doing well. He is post-COVID and is on AVAPS, DNR, and he de stats to 30% when he takes his mask off. He has been wanting to die, but she is fighting for him. She rushed to the hospital to be with him, and she didn't get to eat her lunch. (They provide free meals for their employees). Isabel found out that the wife had not eaten all day and was under a lot of stress, so she went down to our cafeteria and bought the patient's wife something to eat. His wife would not leave his side and Isabel was worried about her as well as the patient. After doing this kind act, the patient's wife was so moved that she would think about her as the visitor and do something so special for her. She knew at that moment that this nurse was truly doing God's work and was where she needed to be.
