Jackson Powell may seem to be described as rough around the edges. When you first meet him, he’s quiet and wants to be alone. In time, he grows inside of you. That is when you see that he is a great person deep inside. He loves children and wants to be a pediatric nurse for his career. He has a pure and caring heart. Suited to become a great pediatric nurse. He understands children the way a father would for his children. He also goes above and beyond to help his fellow nursing students in a way he could only see. He sees the situation in a very notable and critical way.
 
A very good example of why I nominated Jackson is because he simply cares about his fellow nursing students. This fourth semester is riddled with projects. One of the projects requires traveling to a town and gathering data and photographs around that town. Despite persuasions from his groupmates to meet up with him, he refused our help. For others, it may sound too cocky. But what he told me will change your perception of him. He said you guys have families to take care of. All of you live so far that driving to that town would take a big chunk out of your time. Let me drive there by myself since it is just a few minutes from where I live. This goes to show how great of a person Jackson is. And he is right; most of us live about 40-50 minutes away from our target town, one of us even lives out of state. This is why I nominated Jackson; I can now see that he will be a great nurse. He’s a little rough around the edge, but through time, he will be a diamond.
