Having a nurse who isn't afraid to tell you the steps and to tell you everything will be ok is priceless.
From their first day we entered the ICU, we, like all patients, were nervous, afraid but still full of hope. Jake was the admitting nurse for our Grandmother. He was very patient and courteous and ensured all of her needs, as well as ours, were met. Jake takes his time and explains every action along the way and makes sure our questions are answered and addressed. We have been back and forth to the hospital over the course of the last month, however, this experience, though the most severe for her, has been the best interaction for us - her Family. We can't express how important these moments are when you are afraid and uncertain, but having a nurse who isn't afraid to tell you the steps and to tell you everything will be ok is priceless. Jake made sure she has everything she needs and constantly checks on us as he realizes this is hard on any family. Overall, Jake makes you feel like family and human, rather than just a patient. He is truly walking in his purpose to make people feel special and connected. We can't appreciate him enough for all he is doing for us during this moment of healing!! Thank you, Jake!! You, sir, are a Rockstar and a blessing!
