Jami Arnold, RN

Jami was recently caring for a patient who was near the end of their life. This patient was the mother of three children, one of whom was only 16 years old and dependent on his mother. When Jami discovered that his mother’s hospitalization left him with no food or other necessities at home, Jami worked to gather contributions from herself and her co-workers to help provide for him. Jami asked the young man to create a shopping list and had a load of all of the groceries he needed delivered straight to their home. Jami’s sacrifice of her own time and resources to help this family in their time of need is the result of her true compassion. Though these situations are becoming more common in her unit, Jami’s empathy and kindness have never wavered and she goes above and beyond her call of duty to care for not just her patients, but their families as well.
