I would like to nominate Jamie for going above and beyond her duties. With Marshfield's full-time nurse out with COVID at the same time the Infusion RN Manager was out on a family emergency, Jaime stepped up in a big way. Without hesitation, Jamie stepped into the manager role and sorted out covering patient visits for the RN that was on quarantine. Having to take most of these visits on herself, Jamie literally traveled all over Wisconsin to ensure these patients received their infusions without delay. Jamie sacrificed time with her family to meet patient needs and filled a manager's role without complaint, yet the added stress has not kept her from smiling at the end of the day. Thanks for all your hard work and hours you have put in during this transition - you are so appreciated!
Jamie is a wonderful nurse who is dedicated to making sure our infusion patients get the service they need in a timely manner in the home setting. A couple of months ago we had some nurse staffing constraints suddenly come up. It was looking like a challenging situation to meet the immediate needs of infusion patient appointments during this sudden staffing situation. At the time Jaime was staffing as a per diem RN in the Neenah area. Once these issues came to light and she was made aware of them, Jamie sprang into action. She coordinated upcoming patient visits with multiple nurses both within the Marshfield area and the Neenah area. She even drove to Marshfield herself many times to see some of our patients. She truly organized this whole staffing situation without missing a beat and was such a natural at it. None of our specialty patients had delays in their therapy due to her ability to quickly formalize a plan for meeting all their needs. She put the needs of all the patients ahead of her own.
We are so lucky to have Jamie on our team in Neenah. Not only does she go above and beyond but is willing to help the entire state when needed. When our manager had a family emergency and Jamie stepped up to take over without even being asked. She was coordinating not only everything in Neenah but also working to cover patients in Marshfield and the surrounding areas. She is always so flexible even though she has 3 children at home.
Her work ethic shows through daily. We are always told by patients how lucky they are to have Jamie as their nurse. She truly cares about her patients and treats them like they are family members. She is always willing to pick up and take call and as a new hire, she's always been there to answer any and all of my questions.
I have never met a nurse more deserving of this award and I want her to know we all appreciate everything she does for her co-workers and patients.
