We had a patient in the operating room who experienced some very grim complications. His wife, a former employee who retired from a long career at MercyOne, was extremely distraught and emotional. She was here alone and asked if Jamie Williams was working that day. It was indeed Jamie's day off however when someone called her and told her what was going on she dropped what she was doing and came in to work. She sat with this patient’s wife during some of the most stressful hours of her life, waiting to hear if her husband would make it through surgery. I feel many times Jamie, like the other Sups are the unsung heroes of the hospital, usually doing important work behind the scenes and building relationships with colleagues and patients. This is just one example of the impact of these relationships and of how Jamie goes above and beyond every day. Thank you for all you do for our patients and colleagues!
