Janet has a way of making you feel important and cared for.
T.W. was admitted to room 414 and his hospitalization was not an easy one. It seemed like one thing kept happening after the next. This had taken a toll on the patient and caregiver, both physically and emotionally. This particular morning T.W. received some alarming news, which really affected his wife. She stepped out of the room to cry, so she wouldn't upset her husband further. Janet noticed the tears and hugged her. Janet then told the charge nurse she would be right back. She took the patient's wife by the arm and walked her outside for some fresh air. Janet then proceeded to buy her a cup of coffee and listened as the wife told her about her fears and concerns. After a while, both Janet and the wife returned feeling refreshed. She stated that this was a God-send; "just what I needed". Someone who would listen and care for her needs without question or judgment. Janet did that for her.
