...Unfortunately we had to make the decision to let him go. Everybody there did a terrific job looking after him and comforting us, and I appreciate the patience the staff had with us. We didn’t follow the rules at all about how many people could be in the room, or what time we needed to stay out of the room and I apologize for that. We wanted to get in all the time we could.
One nurse stood out and I want to mention her and nominate her for the DAISY Award. Her name is Janna Woodall. She was the day nurse. The compassion she showed was so meaningful. She was there for our family. She answered all the questions we had and I could sense that she genuinely cared. Because I could sense her compassion, when she would put her hand on my shoulder while passing by it was like a true healing touch that comforted me and I appreciate that.
I’m not a good writer and cannot give justice for all she did to go out of her way to comfort us all. I would like to thank her in person, but if I can’t I hope she is recognized for the true compassionate caring person that she is.

Thank you, Janna, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
