Jasmine is one of the most dedicated student nurses I have worked with. Jasmine puts every effort into her studies; she stays after class, studies/works with other students, and is an all-around pleasure to work with. She consistently engages in discussions and stays after class to study for hours after most lectures. She is dedicated to her learning and does what it takes to be successful in this accelerated nursing program.

Jasmine is a breath of fresh air when she is in the clinical unit. She comes to clinical on time and is always ready to begin her day to care for her patients. She is very calm and caring to every patient she interacts with. She provides them with dignity and respect, and they have nothing but sweet things to say about her. One particular day sticks in my mind when Jasmine had a patient who was admitted the previous day.

When we arrived on the floor to begin our day, her assigned patient attempted to get out of bed on her own and the bed alarm began to go off. I had walked in to see what the patient needed, and she wanted to get into the chair. Jasmine stopped what she was doing and came in to take over and assist her patient. Instead of Jasmine asking the patient to wait to get out of bed until after the report, she adapted to the situation at hand and stayed in the patient's room with her to provide her with assistance. She remained with the patient to be sure she was safe and gathered the necessary information from the computer in the room so she could keep an eye on her patient. Even after the bedside shift report was completed, she remained with her patient and talked with her.

Jasmine takes pride in the care she offers to her patients, and it not only was showcased with this particular patient but with all of her patients. She has confidence when caring for them as well as when she administers medications. Jasmine is an extraordinary nursing student.
