Java's clinical skills and especially her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. When Java brought my dad to his room, she took the time to explain how he did and told us that he was a sweetheart. Java showed compassion towards my sister and me, which made us feel so good that we started crying too when she had tears flowing down her face when she talked about our dad.
Java takes the time to really get to know her patient and their families. My heart was so deeply touched to hear and watch how she made a difference. I have been a nurse for 29 years and I have not ever encountered a nurse who cried with us and truly takes her oath as a nurse so seriously! She truly lives the mission statement and I cannot express the impact she had on my whole family.
