Jaycob gave excellent and very attentive care to my husband as his nurse, during this stay on the Oncology floor. His care didn't end when he finished his shifts as my husband's nurse. As the charge nurse, he went out of his way to check in on not just my husband but made sure I was taken care of as well. He did his job expertly, but I could tell this is more than just a job for him. It is his passion. My husband is a planner and needs to know what is happening and Jaycob went above and beyond in making sure he had the facts as he needed them so that he didn't have to worry about the details. It was very comforting for my husband. The day we were to be discharged, when his shift was over, Jaycob stopped by to encourage my husband before he left. He was not in a hurry to leave even though he had worked all night. We were honored that he took some of his own time to wish us well. It touched my husband deeply that someone who had been a stranger 6 days before had shown such compassion.
