Clinical expertise, professionalism and excellence are attributes I would definitely use to describe Jean. My contact with her has been one of a coworker that comes to her floor for discharge planning conferences. She always demonstrates a consistent professional knowledge base. She responds to patients, family members, physicians and coworkers in such a manner that you have a true confidence in her information. Her awareness of the surgical floor and the needs of the complex patients are to be admired. She demonstrates strong skills in prioritization and problem solving. As a charge nurse it is obvious that she is respected by those around her. She always presents herself as very prepared to answer and describe the needs of all the patients on the unit. I view her as a talented nurse leader. She is very down to earth and attentive to concerns voiced by those around her.
