The Global Smile Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides free surgery to children born with cleft palates. Jeanne even continued these missions through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jeanne is a wonderful person and nurse and I admire her commitment to her patients and to the hospital.
She is truly caring and compassionate in all that she does. She never hesitates to help anybody that needs it whether it be a patient, a patient’s family member, a coworker, or even a stranger. She is selfless, empathetic, and a true advocate for her patients.
Aside from all the work she does at Salem Hospital, she also volunteers as a nurse with the Global Smile Foundation and has traveled to Ecuador every year for the past 10 years to donate her time, energy, and skills for two weeks a year.

Jeanne's eyes light up when she talks about all the children she has met, how much they inspire her, and how honored she is to do the work she does. She truly cares about all her patients. Whenever she travels to Ecuador, she also raises money and brings toys and things to the children.
