Jenni's nomination came from a family who was impressed and appreciative of her innovative and thoughtful approach to patient care. During a debridement, Jenni held a piece of paper to the patient's eyes to alleviate their anxiety. When her nomination was submitted, many members of the DAISY committee had stories of how her care had impacted their lives and the lives of those they loved. One member shared a story of her son's care. Her son is on the autism spectrum and requires a special approach to treatment. Jenni is always able to make him feel at ease during his treatment which has aided in better healing of the wound and greater trust in healthcare providers.
