Based on her expertise and background, Jennie collaborated with various teams to develop guidelines, ongoing COVID education, and maintain safety in a rapidly changing situation.
Jennie came to South Sacramento just as COVID-19 was ramping up in Northern California and quickly provided critical expertise to the ICU team and supported facility-wide efforts to prepare for a surge. Based on her expertise and background, Jennie collaborated with various teams to develop guidelines, ongoing COVID education, and maintain safety in a rapidly changing situation.
Jennie also led efforts to increase available critical care staff through training and competency development of recovery nurses, operating room nurses, and ancillary staff to facilitate a team approach to nursing based on national guidelines for the pandemic response. Jennie’s ability to quickly adapt to a challenging situation and gain the respect and trust of the multi-disciplinary team have been foundational to the successful COVID-19 response for the medical center.
