Jen has demonstrated her commitment to her profession by achieving three certifications in her field, In-Patient Obstetrics, Fetal Monitoring and Childbirth Ed. She has demonstrated her commitment to her peers and patients by being a mentor and preceptor to the new learner or employee as well as a BLS instructor.
On June 9th after working her 12hr shift which was quite busy, she noticed that there were three laboring women who were now going to start pushing. Jen realized that there was a need for an extra set of hands. She not only stayed (without being asked) to help out her peers, but was the baby nurse to all three deliveries and assisted with the newborn transitions. Not only was this a huge help to ensure every patient was cared for, it was so deeply appreciated by her peers.
This behavior is nothing unusual of Jen, as she quietly goes about her business with a calm, reassuring presence. When she was ready to leave, everyone was thankful to her and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "you're welcome" as if it was just another day.
