I’d been suffering with a ringing in the ears for a few weeks prior to admitting myself to the ER. By the time I got to the reception area, I was extremely stressed and exhausted from having sleepless nights for the previous two weeks. Nurse Legler was very compassionate and caring, listening to my explanation of symptoms and ailments. Embarrassingly, I was so grateful for her kindness that I’m pretty sure I cried a bit.

She proceeded to listen deeply and let me know I was not alone. Strangely enough, the ear ringing began exacerbating older memories of being in Sudi Arabia during the Gulf War in ‘90-’91. She mentioned that the VA has many different services and offerings for Veterans, and advised I join a team. I’m currently on the Orange team.

I’m grateful to have had an opportunity to meet Nurse Legler in my experience at the VA ER. Very Compassionate, caring, and professional.
