The patient was transferred to CVICU and then air lifted to CMPC. The patient’s daughter and sister called and wanted to thank you for the hard work and dedication which made it possible for her to get transferred to a tertiary care hospital to get the procedure that saved her life. Jennifer advocated for the patient and the family and did everything possible even when faced with conflicts and pushback. Unfortunately, the patient’s condition deteriorated right before she was to be transferred, she had to receive 6 units PRBCs in a code crimson and then finally got transferred during the night. I witnessed great nursing care yesterday from you, a very new and confident, RN. Again, thank you Jennifer for providing compassionate care and advocating for your patient despite circumstances that most nurses would not have challenged.
