I’m a healthcare worker and I know first-hand that Jensen goes above and beyond her duties as a nurse. Jensen came to us on the most difficult day of our lives when my father was very suddenly admitted to the MICU in a coma after hepatic encephalopathy and many other significant concerns. We felt helpless, overwhelmed, and terrified. Jensen approached every situation calmly and professionally. She was so friendly and treated my father with the utmost respect even if he couldn’t hear her. Every time she came into the room, she explained everything she was doing and what it meant and gave us any updates. She asked us every single time if we needed anything. She never appeared rushed, even though we know she was so busy. The way she approached his care gave us hope for the first time, even in the most horrendous situation that we could imagine. She got to know me and my family, called my mother to update her so quickly, and made us confident that he was receiving the absolute best care. She was attentive to every alarm, every concern, and every question. I’ve worked in hospitals for over 10 years, and I can honestly say she is the best of the best and deserves the DAISY Award more than anyone I have ever encountered. Thank you, Jensen, for your care during this overwhelming time in our lives. We won’t forget you!
