Even in the face of embarrassment, Jess's care and consideration remained unwavering.
Having Jess as my nurse during my recent hospital experience was an absolute blessing that I will forever be grateful for. From the moment she met me, her calming presence and unwavering support made all the difference in the world. Jess displayed an exceptional level of respect and understanding throughout my L&D experience.

When I made the personal decision to refuse a urinary catheter, she respected my choice without hesitation. In a time when everything felt chaotic and overwhelming, she provided me with a comforting and secure environment, akin to what a closest family member would offer. One particular incident showcased Jess's remarkable dedication to patient advocacy. During a moment of frustration, my spouse began blaming me for the circumstances that led to my hospitalization. Without hesitation, Jess stood up for me, ensuring that my voice was heard, and my dignity preserved. Her unwavering support in that moment was truly remarkable and deeply appreciated.

A specific memory that stands out in my mind is the transvaginal scan, which proved to be an unexpectedly painful and traumatic experience for me. As tears streamed down my face, Jess took my hand, acknowledging the overwhelming nature of the scan and offering genuine empathy. Her compassionate gesture provided the solace and understanding I desperately needed at that vulnerable moment. Even in the face of embarrassment, Jess's care and consideration remained unwavering. I was losing a significant amount of blood while walking to and from the bathroom, too embarrassed to ask for assistance. However, Jess intuitively recognized my need for help and took it upon herself to ensure that everything was promptly cleaned up, sparing me any further discomfort. In those moments, Jess became more than just a nurse performing her duty; she became a pillar of support. I felt assured that she would do everything in her power to ensure a successful operation and the well-being of both myself and my baby. Her genuine care and dedication were evident throughout.

Even after the operation, Jess went above and beyond. She not only accompanied me to see my baby in the NICU but also took the time to check on me post-operation, despite no longer being assigned to my care and her undoubtedly demanding schedule. Her selflessness and unwavering support were a true gift during a difficult time. Having Jess as my nurse felt like a divine intervention during my darkest hour, and I will be forever grateful for her presence and the care she provided. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine desire to support me through that tough time were truly extraordinary.
