Jill demonstrated unparalleled compassion with a baby girl who was not going to make it. Her expert clinical skills and communication allowed her to advocate for her patient. In an impossible situation, Jill, as the bedside nurse, created a united front between the family and the team to come up with the best solution for her patient. The family requested a baptism for their baby and not only did Jill make it happen, but she put time into the details, and stood by her patient's side as she was baptized. How beautiful Jill made this little girl look in her white dress (that Jill found), goes beyond any scope of nursing. She then stayed with this family beyond what was required. How Jill handled this day distinguishes her as a leader, because how she acted inspired everyone around her to want to be better nurses. Thank you for adding beauty and grace to a tragedy.
