Joan Filoteo, RN

I would like to nominate Joan for the DAISY award. Week after week, she has shown extraordinary compassion for patients, a positive attitude in all situations, and is always so patient and willing to educate the nursing students. She helped the students develop bedside skills, critical thinking, and patient advocacy and created a safe environment for students to ask questions. The nursing students are very pleased with their experience every shift and have been able to gain valuable knowledge through her. She demonstrates great leadership and is an outstanding role model for future nurses. She is the very definition of this award, and it was a pleasure getting to know her and her excellent work ethic.
