Joan consistently exceeds the expectations of her job requirements. She provides compassionate care to all patients, not just in the adult program but in all programs. Even with Joan’s busy schedule she always found the time to see child/adolescent patients with a smile. She also provides compassion and listens to each patient.

I first witnessed Joan’s outstanding patient care when I was working as an intern last year, one of the patients I worked closely with came into the program when we were closing. It was important to review his medications to ensure he did not overdose on any of his medicines. Joan took the time not only to go over the medications with him and his partner but she created a chart for them to use. I was touched by her compassion and knew instantly that she was an extraordinary nurse. She is amazing!
