We were honored to recognize Joanne Laguna-Kennedy, RN, CENP, FACHE as she received many nominations from various people for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. We thank her for her leadership – as our Chief Operating Officer. Today she was celebrated for nursing excellence as she received the prestigious DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
She leads with compassion and grace- creating a space welcome to learning and trust. Multiple nominations mentioned her “people first” mantra! Congratulations and well deserved! She creates a space that is both physical and emotional. She supports nursing as COO to ensure that nurses have access to the technology and equipment to be successful. She supports her team through meaningful recognition and creates a safe space where compassion is valued, and her leadership sets the example for others including her team and staff to provide compassionate care. She has a people-first mantra that has never waivered and is known by her slogan “How are you doing today and is there anything that I can do for you?”
