Recently, we were caring for a homeless patient. As we start planning for his discharge Johnette looked into what size clothing and shoes he needed as he only had those clothes he came in with. She took it upon herself to purchase him warm clothing, undergarments, layers of clothing, coat, shoes, and toiletries for his discharge. They were also placed in a backpack he could utilize once discharged. The patient was so gracious to be shown such kindness. Johnette showed compassion, caring, kindness, and goodwill. She definitely set a great example of how we should treat one another.
