Jon went out of his way to help M feel comfortable; even taking the time to pray with her. She was mumbling when we first arrived, but Jon made us aware she was praying! Sure enough when we listened to the cadence of sounds she was making, she clearly was reciting the rosary! Beyond providing our dear Mom and Grandmother with extraordinary care by fulfilling his nursing duties with kindness and attention to detail, he also demonstrated leadership and resourcefulness: when we told him our parish priest was not available to stop by for another day, he offered Fr. Peter, who indeed came by to pray. He also went further to call our parish (He had asked where M attended church) and made another request to have our priest come by the hospital! His kindness, exemplary demonstration of his nursing duties, caring and accountability makes us grateful that Clara Maass is our local hospital!
Jon's care and kindness will always be remembered.
