Joni is an excellent member of the MCICU team. Not only is she recognized for her clinical knowledge and skill, but also for her talent working with patients and families during some of their most stressful moments. Joni's calm, quiet demeanor, paired with her ICU knowledge, puts our patients and families at ease. It is common for family members to recognize Joni as an outstanding nurse. One family member stated that when Joni was his nurse "it was the first time that I felt comfortable going home to sleep. I just knew that he would be in good hands." We are lucky to have Joni as a preceptor. She is a patient and confident teacher that provides our new staff with an excellent foundation to build from. She models clinical excellence as well as strong communication skills. Joni is the perfect representation of a DAISY Honoree!
