After my unexpected C-section, I had to be put on magnesium for my pre-eclampsia and was incredibly woozy and sick but it was necessary to keep me safe. Joni checked up on me and listened to all of my concerns. I suddenly became very sick that same day and spiked to a fever of 101. Nurse Joni suggested running my urine based on my complaints and pains and we found out I was also dealing with a uterine infection. Throughout the whole day, she listened to me, comforted me, and advocated for me. When I would get frustrated or upset, she comforted me and validated my feelings every step of the way. She also helped my mom and husband understand what was going on while also taking care of my baby. She did all this in my room so I could still experience his moments while sick. I could not have gotten through the day without her! By Wednesday I was 100% better thanks to Nurse Joni!
