I came to Jordan's unit as a possible cardiac patient. Initial symptoms presented as a possible heart attack. But after initial tests showed no evidence of a heart attack I continued to have upper left quadrant chest pain.
I continually came up with questions about the possible sources of the recurring pain. Jordan would always try and provide what info she could about my ideas and would always show sincere concern about my pain - consistently taking my vitals and doing an EKG.
Many nurses would have just dismissed my questions and ignore my pain levels. Jordan would do the opposite and take care of me in every way.
In addition, Jordan always had a smile on her face and exhibited a very friendly manner. Jordan exemplifies the essence of what every nurse should strive to be.
