Jordan was the right amount of everything that my husband needed.
Jordan was one of many great nurses that cared for my husband when he was a patient, and she stood out to my husband and me. My husband fell two stories from a ladder in Williamsburg and was transferred to your facility from a sister facility with a fractured leg. Jordan was truly amazing. From start to finish she anticipated needs, established rapport, built trust, showed compassion and empathy, but also used her critical thinking to go outside of the box to care for my extremely anxious husband. Jordan is clearly a star in the making.
Jordan worked with the Orthopedic PA to review wound care for my husband’s leg post-fasciotomy, then she confidently taught me how to care for it after discharge. She took mental notes of everything and made sure I had the tools I needed and that I was comfortable doing so. My husband was not an easy patient at the time of this injury; he was four years post-recovery for opioid addiction. Imagine my husband’s fear and anxiety as he navigated this injury not wanting to go back on his recovery but having to have his pain controlled. Jordan was the right amount of everything that my husband needed. She nurtured his anxiety in the calmest professional manner. I’m finding it hard to put into words just what she did for both of us. Riverside is lucky to have this amazing human on staff.
