February 2023 Honoree
Jordan Mercurio, RN
My wife had open heart surgery in January. The day after in the ICU, her heart stopped. Jordan and I were standing by her bed. Jordan instantly started chest compressions and we both yelled for help. Within 3 or 4 seconds the ICU team was there. Jordan still doing chest compressions while the ICU team worked. My wife had no heart beat for 30‐45 seconds. I know what the enture ICU team did, they were trained to do, and I will say I witnessed them doing it well. Jordan acted instantly in her actions that day. I think in her actions and speed and decisions on that day that Jordan saved my wife's life. Now, a few weeks later, my wife is going to a rehab unit in McMinnville, TN in our home town. I told Jordan and a young man that I only know as “Big Joe" that if they worked for me I would give them both a raise in pay and I meant it. God bless you Jordan. I wish for you and your family a blessed life.
Thank you, Jordan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
