This student has demonstrated what it means to be selfless. Josie has had her personal medical battles and is a cancer survivor who utilizes her time volunteering in developing areas such as Haiti. As my student, Josie demonstrated such eagerness to learn. She retained the material well and speaks with such excitement when she recalls her clinical experience in the emergency room. She has endured loss but continues her pursuit for excellence with such grace and hope. The world is a wonderful place because people like Josie exist.
