...My husband came into the ER with a ruptured colon. We went through the ER, OR, and CCU. When he came out of surgery, he went on the floor where he was on a ventilator. The nurses were great the entire night. The night nurse was awesome and she explained everything that would be going on. The next morning, Josh was his nurse. They were trying to take him off the ventilator and I was standing at my husband's head talking to him and explaining everything. Josh stood right there beside me and explained everything to me as far as the machines beeping and his trying to wake up and take the tube out. I would not have asked for a better nurse to stand with me during that time than Joshua. During the course of our stay, Joshua was his nurse several times. He was just a God send - he got me towels so I could take a shower and not have to leave my husband, he got me coffee, food, anything that I could and did ask for. I say he is a true "Angel" in RN clothing. He is compassionate, caring, and will go out of his way to make sure the family is comfortable as well as the patient. He comes from a long line of wonderful nurses.
