The family was very impressed with Ms. Jovita's Care and support and her kind and compassionate approach.
Ms. Accad has consistently displayed compassionate and competent care for her patients, truly demonstrating the meaning of patient and family-centered care.

Her patients like her so much and have been giving positive feedback. Recently a patient was asking me during rounds if Jovita has sisters who are the same as her, If yes to bring them also here.

Another patient commented that she is like “Bijily Jovita" which means Electric current – who keeps patients engaged and happy by bringing light.

Out of all the positive feedback from patients and patients' requests to assign Jovita as their nurse, I will focus on her care for one of our recent very, very critical patients who stayed in ICU for more than a week, where Ms. Jovita has always made sure that she walked an extra mile with the patient and family.

The patient has gone through a major crisis situation due to a septic condition and has suffered multiorgan damage and a major issue in her appearance which has happened due to the disease condition hence she was so depressed once she came out of the ventilator and became conscious.

Jovita used to spend a major share of her time, continuously talking with the patient, giving positive reinforcement, and many a time making her laugh, by even speaking in broken Hindi (the patient is Indian), to keep her in a good mood and alleviate her suffering. Combing her hair and plating it makes her more confident.

Ms Jovita used to address her as Mommy N, which the patient liked so much, and the patient used to smile when this particular RN was assigned to her. She could remember only her name in the initial days even though many other team members had taken the assignment.

Whenever she used to do the dressings for her, the RN kept talking continuously with her, making her smile and diverting her attention so that she didn’t feel serious discomfort, even playing the music of the patient's interest.

She had been using all the tips and tricks for effective and compassionate nursing care, as this case was a very special case in the department.

The patient's face used to brighten up when Jovita entered the room, and she used to encourage the patient to do the exercise by using the Hindi song "Chamak Chalo” (a rhythmic song that the patient liked) for which the patient used to move her hands and feet.

The family was very impressed with Ms. Jovita's Care and support and her kind and compassionate approach.
