Joyce is a role model for the nursing profession. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis. She is thorough not only clinically, but with overall patient care. Joyce takes time with each patient and explains each step of the process. She truly cares and it is visible to patients, families, peers, and her clinical director. Joyce has made a board for the staff in their lounge that exhibits each one of Jean Watson's Caritas Processes. She works to make the environment calm and caring for both patients and other staff members. She also posts the Caritas process of the month for all to see. Joyce is also an active preceptor to new employees. She makes everyone feel comfortable, which is an amazing attribute, especially when educating. Joyce is always positive, compassionate, caring to families, and her peers. Joyce is an extraordinary nurse and person. Jean Watson would be proud to know how Joyce has embraced the Carita Processes and shared them with so many others. Joyce should be recognized for all of her qualities and truly deserves this award.
