It is with great pleasure that I nominate Juli Jacobs, RN, OWOCN, with Central Washington Hospital’s Home Care Services. Juli is one of the most skilled clinicians I have had the pleasure to work with and supervise. Her expertise in wound care makes her invaluable to our department, our hospital, and the patients she serves. Not only does she see most of our wound care patients in their homes, adult family homes, and assisted living facilities, but is asked by her peers, supervisors, and physicians to consult and make recommendations for best practice in wound care.

She demonstrates her compassion in caring for our Hospice patients and she does this with a smile on her face. Patients request Juli as their nurse and what makes her so special is that she is very creative in finding solutions to challenges, even if it means going to a physician appointment with a patient to discuss their current or future treatment options or collaborating with another provider.

Her peers respect her, her patients love her and the physicians believe in her ability to find a way to heal their patients wounds or manage a challenging ostomy to promote their quality of life. Her passion for her job, compassion for her patients and her profession is exhibited daily in her nursing practice and level of skill she embodies. Juli is most deserving of this award.
