I wanted to tell you about an awesome exchange I had with the nursery nurse, June. I brought my patient to PPU, the PPU nurse had assured the patient, and I was just waiting on nursery to come. I stepped into the hall to wait so the parents could have privacy. While in the hall, June walked by and was taking a buggy to another room. She asked me how long I had been waiting (25 minutes). Without me asking she called someone else in nursery to let them know I was still waiting, apologized for the wait, and assured me someone would come shortly. What a great team player. I knew nursery was busy and expected a long wait, so I wasn't worried. She definitely exemplified a model employee even though she was busy and it was shift change.
