I’ve been admitted to BUMC for 4 weeks and have had many fine nurses, but Justin in the ICU was the only one who went above and beyond to advocate for me. Justin would speak to my doctors when they came in to seek clarification on treatment plans. He would then explain the plans to my wife and me and even make suggestions that we successfully adopted. I am under movement restrictions for Candida and I am concerned that I can’t complete my normal PT routine, Justin is seeking clarification from the manager to see if I might be able to move in the hallway outside my room. The thing that best illustrates Justin’s dedication to his job and desire to assist me personally came when he requested to be assigned to my room instead of taking his scheduled day off. My wife and I both appreciate what Justin has done for us.
