From the moment Katie introduced herself to my husband and l, we were both able to sense a real spirit of compassion and genuine concern, as well as professionalism and a good knowledge base! She worked efficiently, yet gave time and effort for light conversation, which helped to put me at ease and distract me from my pre-op anxieties! She spoke loudly enough for both of our hearing deficits yet did not become impatient or raise her voice unduly!

Katie was very patient with my sometimes slowness in moving or answering! She was also very kind in patiently and thoroughly answering my limitless and "nurse-y" medical questions! I enjoyed her sharing just a bit about herself which actually helped us feel truly valued and important people to her at that moment! We never got the feeling that her words and actions were "just" a job to her! We felt like she genuinely enjoyed helping other people through health challenges and assisting them to attain better health! Katie won a place in my heart by introducing me to that magical warming blanket and making sure it was always on the setting I wanted! I think that Katie would be a wonderful preceptor for new or learning medical personnel!
