My husband and I went in for an induction at midnight. At shift change, Kami came in to introduce herself as she was taking care of us. We were with her all day and she was more than attentive and you can tell she advocates for her patients. Additionally, she always included my husband in all conversations and my mom and sister who were there for my support. She always checked on them and made sure they were taken care of and if they needed anything every single time she left my room. We continued to labor into the night with no luck.

The next morning came and we were blessed to have her again as our nurse. She did absolutely everything in her power to help us try to progress but we didn’t have luck. We were told by the doctor we were getting close to having a caesarian. Kami sat with us longer and explained the whole process in a better way. She also encouraged us with trying more positions to help me dilate to hopefully get our girl here faster. After switching positions, our girl's heart rate dropped really low. She was able to stay professional, keep us calm, get our girl's heart rate up, call for additional help, and continue to ensure I was okay, even when I didn’t care about myself she still made it a point that it’s about both myself and my daughter.

We ended up having an emergency c-section and she was with my husband and me every single step of the way. She was active throughout the procedure and even came to my face to talk to me about it and checked out my daughter too although she had her own team going on. My blood pressure dropped pretty significantly as well but she was the calm in the storm and she made the biggest impact on the entire labor and delivery.

I don’t think I would have taken anything as well as we all did if we didn’t have her as a nurse. Her experience and compassion are unmatched and she’s definitely one of the best nurses I have ever had in my life.
