May 2021 Honoree
Kara Lemonds, RN
I just wanted to give credit to a deserving nurse that works in Behavioral Services. Her name is Kara Lemonds. She is a hardworking, team player. She is always jumping up to help one of her teammates with whatever she can. Being in a high acuity area with unpredictable patients can be stressful and she handles it. cYou can always count on her to help you if you ask her and she does it without hesitation. I don’t think nurses like her get enough credit. In behavioral health, it can be trying at times but when you have someone like her to work with it makes it easier. I would say she goes above and beyond. She is a fantastic charge nurse and is always on top of situations especially with the population we deal with. For example, with all the charge nurse duties, she will jump up and go to help the fellow nurse with their admission of a patient onto the unit whether it’s getting them changed out into a hospital gown or vital signs.
Thank you, Kara, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
