Karen Moxley, RN
Karen was my ED nurse during one of the scariest days I’ve ever had. I was experiencing some cramping so I drove myself to the hospital to be assessed. Karen is the kind of nurse you want waiting in an emergency for you. Within the first 30 min, I knew something was very wrong and I was signing papers for an emergency C-section at 32 weeks. I had never had surgery before and Karen walked me to the OR and held my hand while talking to me when I was put under anesthesia. If she were not my nurse, this experience could be a very traumatic one for me. She talked to me like a person/mother worried about her baby, not a patient. I told my husband she was my stand in support and this comforted him and my family so much. LRMC is lucky to have such a compassionate team member employed with them. While everyone has been wonderful to me, I will never forget Nurse Karen! Please notice how special she is and what an impact she makes on your patients.
