Karen was awesome! I was very scared when I was admitted. Nothing made any sense and I was doing all of the things I was supposed to be doing for a medical condition and everything was going wrong. Karen took the time to talk to me and explain what was going on. She probably answered my questions 3 or 4 times, never making me feel like a nuisance. She spent time with me, and she did not rush me. She talked to me and made me feel a lot more safe and secure than when I was first admitted. Her pleasant and caring attitude meant everything to me. Karen was caring, pleasant, patient, kind, and friendly. Her patience in listening to me helped me calm down and she never made me feel that I was taking up too much of her time. She never made me feel like my repeated questions were dumb. She treated me with kindness and respect; she cared about me. She always seemed glad to help and she helped with ideas to help me not to be so anxious. She took the time to actually talk to me. I never felt like I was a bother to her. I was scared and did not feel safe and she helped me feel better.
