I am writing to extend our sincerest appreciation to your nurse, Karissa, and Tower Health Home Care. We met Karissa when my disabled brother was discharged from the hospital; he already had an extensive medical history and disability and now was returning home with additional medical needs such as diabetes, aspirin, and dehydration. His primary caretaker is his wife, with some assistance from non-medical personnel. As you can imagine, having to care for someone as a layperson with such complicated needs at home for 20 years, these new and additional diagnoses pushed his wife over the edge with concern. I am a nurse and my brother's medical POA; I happened to be out of the country when we were desperately trying to establish care and new services for him to be able to remain living at home. My concerns and anxiety about my brother's ability to remain living at home were also very doubtful.

That was until we met your nurse, Karissa, who immediately comforted us and, with her extreme confidence, took over my brother's care. Karissa is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough. As a nurse myself, I know that these are qualities that every nurse should have, but I am here to tell you that Karissa stands above all. She goes the extra mile, she is a patient advocate, and she follows through down to every detail. She is resourceful, compassionate, an educator, and communicates with all members of the healthcare team and family. I am one hundred percent convinced that due to Karissa and the incredible care she provided to my brother, his wife, and myself, my brother is able to continue to live his life at home, where he is the most comfortable.

Karissa made a significant impact in our lives, as I am sure that she does with all of her patients. She is truly one of a kind and an asset to your team. We would like her to know that she has made a huge impact on our lives, and this letter is a small token of our sincerest gratitude.
