Karla Marshall, RN

This patient was diagnosed with S/P Covid 19. (s/p intubation) and Stage IV Pressure ulcers…Healed by Discharge. Mr. FC called to let me know that he was pleased with all the care providers from the VNA, but Karla, his nurse, deserved special mention. Amid the Covid epidemic, he was appreciative for the extra time she spent answering the many questions he had, teaching him how to better manage his health, providing reassurance, and making him feel at ease. He looked forward to her visits and felt very sad when his discharge date was approaching. He felt that she had gone above and beyond for him and because of her his wounds were healed sooner than he anticipated. He is so grateful that Karla was sent to him. She exemplifies the meaning of nursing and is so very compassionate and professional.
