My son came in with RSV. There are no words that I can use to describe the magnificent work and dedication she showed during the 3 nights she worked with him. As soon as her shift started, she began by cleaning my son and making sure he was comfortable and had what he needed. She spent all night checking on him, even when he seemed like he did not need anything. Her consistency in taking care of her 2 patients is indescribable. His mom and I would feel comfortable stepping out because we knew she would make sure he was comfortable. I feel that my son's quick recovery was due to her staying on his chest PT and suctioning all the infection off his chest. I really wish she could have been his nurse until we went home. I am very thankful my son had her as his nurse. I know he will miss her and he is only 2 months old! He never had a nurse who was so dedicated and who worked with such a passion. CHKD has a great nurse who loves her work!
